The Call She Never Expected
The hotel lobby fell completely silent.
The blonde woman forced a nervous smile.
“You’re bluffing.”
The man looked at her without emotion.
“No.”
Moments later, several executives hurried through the revolving doors carrying document folders.
One of them stopped beside the man.
“The acquisition is complete.”
He nodded once.
“Begin immediately.”
The blonde woman’s confidence disappeared.
“You bought the hotel?”
The executive answered before anyone else could.
“As of ten minutes ago… he owns everything.”
Elena slowly rose from the marble floor, still unable to believe what she was hearing.
The man gently placed his coat over her shoulders.
“No one humiliates you again.”
The blonde woman lowered her head as security quietly approached.
The man took Elena’s trembling hand.
“Let’s leave this behind.”
And in the silent hotel lobby—
the woman they treated like she was nothing…
became the only person who truly mattered.
