The Hospital Bracelet

The twins held each other tightly.

Neither wanted to let go.

Then—

the homeless boy reached into his pocket.

“I have one more thing.”

He pulled out a faded hospital bracelet.

The plastic was cracked.

But one word was still visible.

Baby B.

The mother’s hands began to shake.

She opened her purse.

From a small envelope, she removed another bracelet she had kept for years.

It read:

Baby A.

Tears streamed down her face.

“They were never supposed to be separated.”

The two bracelets fit perfectly side by side.

The twins looked at each other.

One smiled through tears.

“So… we were always brothers.”

The Debt That Set Them Free

Their mother wrapped both boys in her arms.

This time—

she refused to let either one go.

Because after years of heartbreak—

her family was finally whole again.
