The Name He Never Forgot

The biker stared at the little girl.

“Jack Morgan?”

She nodded.

“Yes.”

The diner faded into silence.

The biker slowly rolled up his sleeve, revealing the faded tattoo more clearly.

“Who told you to look for this mark?”

The little girl reached into her backpack.

With trembling hands, she pulled out a worn photograph.

She placed it on the table.

“My dad said… if anything ever happened to him, I should find the man with this tattoo.”

The biker picked up the photograph.

His breath caught.

It showed two young bikers standing shoulder to shoulder.

One was Jack.

The other was him.

His voice barely escaped.

“We were brothers.”

The little girl’s eyes filled with tears.

“My dad never stopped talking about you.”

The Debt That Set Them Free

The biker looked up.

“Where is he now?”

She lowered her head.

Her lips trembled.

“He’s missing.”

For a long moment—

the biker couldn’t speak.

Then he carefully folded the photograph and slipped it into his vest pocket.

He stood.

Every biker in the diner looked toward him.

His voice was calm.

Certain.

“We’re going to find Jack.”

The little girl reached for his hand.

For the first time since walking into the diner—

she smiled.

Because she knew she wasn’t searching alone anymore.

She had found the one man her father trusted to bring him home.
