PART 2: The Legion That Never Stopped Marching
The thunder of war drums echoed endlessly through the mountain pass as the colossal army continued marching beneath the burning sun.
Bronze shields moved like waves across the canyon.
Endless.
Relentless.
Perfect.
The camera kept pulling backward through drifting dust and blinding golden haze—
revealing thousands more soldiers emerging from the narrow cliffs behind the front lines.
But then—
something changed.
One soldier stopped marching.
Only one.
At first, nobody noticed.
The legion continued forward around him in flawless rhythm while dust spiraled through the sunlight.
The lone warrior slowly lifted his head.
Close-up—
beneath the ornate bronze helmet, his face was pale with fear.
Not exhaustion.
Fear.
Because deep ahead in the canyon—
the war drums had suddenly become uneven.
The soldier listened carefully.
Boom.
Boom.
Boom…
Silence.
Another distant drum answered from somewhere impossible.
Far above them.
The marching rhythm across the legion slowly began collapsing as more soldiers looked upward toward the towering limestone cliffs.
Then—
small stones started falling from above.
The camera tilts upward slowly.
At the very top of the canyon walls—
dark figures stood motionless against the blazing sunlight.
Watching.
Thousands of them.
Not part of the legion.
A cold wind suddenly tore through the mountain pass, whipping red capes violently through the dust-filled air.
The front line finally stopped marching completely.
For the first time—
silence touched the ancient army.
Then one terrified voice whispered through the canyon:
“…we were not the first army to enter this pass.”
The distant figures above slowly raised long black spears together.
And beneath the crushing desert sun—
the greatest legion in the world finally realized the mountain had been waiting for them.
