PART 2: The Ring of the Dead Wolf
Nobody in the biker bar moved.
Not the men near the pool table.
Not the bartenders.
Not even the giant bikers guarding the entrance.
The only sound left was the low hum of neon lights and distant thunder outside the alley.
The girl stood calmly in the middle of the smoky room, the silver wolf-head ring glinting beneath red neon reflections.
The lead biker stared at it like he had seen a ghost.
“That ring burned with Marcus Wolfe,” he whispered.
A murmur spread instantly across the bar.
Marcus Wolfe.
Founder of the Dead Wolves motorcycle club.
The man who disappeared fifteen years earlier after the bloodiest gang war the city had ever seen.
The girl tilted her head slightly.
“Did he?”
Her voice stayed soft.
Controlled.
But something about it made hardened bikers lower their eyes.
One older biker near the bar slowly stood from his chair.
His scarred face had gone pale beneath the smoke and dim lights.
“I buried that ring myself.”
The girl finally looked toward him.
“And yet,” she replied quietly, “here it is.”
Silence tightened across the room.
The lead biker clenched his jaw.
“Where did you get it?”
The girl’s smirk faded slightly.
Then—
she reached into the oversized trench coat and pulled out a faded black photograph.
Old.
Creased.
Half-burned at the edges.
She dropped it onto the pool table.
The bikers leaned closer carefully.
And froze.
The photo showed a much younger Marcus Wolfe standing beside a little girl sitting on his motorcycle.
The same dark hair.
The same eyes.
The same wolf-head ring on Marcus’s hand.
One biker stepped backward in shock.
“No… he never had kids.”
The girl lifted her eyes slowly.
“That’s what he wanted everyone to believe.”
Thunder shook the windows outside.
Then the older biker near the bar whispered something that silenced the room completely.
“…She has his eyes.”
The atmosphere changed instantly.
Not fear anymore.
Recognition.
The girl looked around the biker bar calmly while every hardened criminal inside stared back at her with growing unease.
Then she spoke the words nobody was prepared to hear.
“Marcus Wolfe is dead,” she said softly.
Another pause.
“But before he died…”
Her fingers tightened around the silver ring.
“…he left me his empire.”
