PART 2: The Ghost Beneath the Snow

The underground military bunker trembled violently beneath another distant explosion.

Dust poured from the cracked concrete ceiling while emergency red lights flashed across terrified soldiers pressed against the freezing walls.

At the center of the chaos—

the wounded man gasped weakly against the floor.

Blood soaked through the medic’s gloves as she pressed harder against the torn neck wound.

“Stay with me!”

Her calm voice somehow cut through the panic.

Nearby soldiers stared at her in disbelief.

Because despite the explosions…

despite the blood…

her hands never shook.

Then suddenly—

the bunker doorway filled completely with drifting white smoke.

Silence spread instantly.

Even the wounded soldiers looked up.

A tall figure stood motionless beneath the flickering industrial light.

Tiger-stripe camouflage.
Heavy winter gear.
Black rifle hanging at his side.

His face remained hidden behind a frost-covered mask.

One frightened soldier whispered softly—

“…Ghost Unit.”

The Debt That Set Them Free

The mysterious soldier stepped forward slowly through the smoke.

Heavy boots echoing across the bunker floor.

Then his eyes locked onto the female medic.

For one long second—

neither of them moved.

Recognition.

The medic’s exhausted face tightened instantly.

“You weren’t supposed to come back.”

The masked soldier answered quietly.

“Neither were you.”

Outside—

the frozen battlefield exploded with gunfire beneath the violent snowstorm.

Allied troops charged between destroyed armored vehicles while enemy fire ripped through the mountains.

Then—

another sniper shot thundered through the blizzard.

BOOM.

An enemy machine gunner collapsed backward into the snow.

Panic spread across enemy lines.

“Find that sniper!”

But nobody could see her.

The Fall That Changed Everything

Because buried deep beneath layers of snow and white camouflage—

the female sniper remained invisible.

Cold blue eyes watching through the rifle scope.

Emotionless.

Patient.

A faded wolf insignia rested on her shoulder beneath the ice.

She chambered another round slowly.

CLICK.

Far below the ridge—

allied soldiers suddenly pushed forward through the storm.

One young soldier looked upward toward the mountain in disbelief.

“She’s covering all of us alone…”

Back inside the bunker—

another explosion rocked the underground walls.

Concrete cracked loudly overhead.

The masked soldier immediately grabbed the medic’s arm.

“We need to move. The mountain’s collapsing.”

The wounded man groaned weakly beside them.

Without hesitation—

the medic hooked his arm around her shoulders and lifted him herself.

Ignoring the pain tearing through her frozen muscles.

The masked soldier stared at her silently.

Then finally—

“…Still saving everyone.”

The medic looked at him coldly.

“Someone has to.”

Suddenly—

a radio crackled violently through the bunker speakers.

Static.
Gunfire.
Screaming wind.

Then one desperate voice emerged through the storm:

“Ghost sniper is out of ammo!”

Silence.

The medic froze instantly.

The masked soldier slowly turned toward the bunker exit leading into the blizzard outside.

Because both of them knew exactly who the sniper was.

And if her rifle had gone silent—

the battlefield above was about to become a massacre.

The masked soldier grabbed his rifle tightly.

The medic’s exhausted voice followed behind him.

“…Bring her home this time.”

For one long moment—

the mysterious soldier stood motionless beneath the flashing red bunker lights.

Then silently—

he disappeared back into the freezing white storm.

Toward the sniper hidden somewhere beneath the snow.

Toward the war still raging across the mountains.

And deep beneath the collapsing bunker—

the terrified soldiers finally understood something horrifying.

The deadliest people on the battlefield…

weren’t the ones carrying the biggest weapons.

They were the ghosts nobody could kill.
