PART 2: The Owner Nobody Recognized
The luxury salon fell completely silent.
Scissors stopped moving.
Hair dryers shut off one by one.
Even the soft piano music playing through the speakers suddenly felt distant as every employee stared at the heavy gold card in the younger man’s trembling hand.
The calm employee looked back at the old man in disbelief.
The gold card carried only one thing—
A black engraved signature.
HARRISON VALE.
Founder of Vale Luxury Group.
Owner of the entire salon chain.
The receptionist’s face drained of color instantly.
“N-No…” she whispered.
Several stylists exchanged panicked looks.
Because Harrison Vale wasn’t just rich.
He was one of the wealthiest businessmen in the country.
And according to magazines and interviews…
he hadn’t publicly appeared in almost three years.
The old man smiled faintly from beneath the salon cape.
“I wanted to see something,” he said quietly.
Nobody answered.
The employee slowly handed the gold card back.
“You… came here like this on purpose?”
Harrison nodded once.
“I visited six of my salons this month.”
His tired eyes moved across the room.
“Only one person treated me like a human being.”
The silence became unbearable.
The receptionist lowered her head immediately.
“Sir, I didn’t realize—”
“That’s the problem.”
His voice wasn’t angry.
That somehow made it worse.
“You shouldn’t need to recognize someone to show them dignity.”
Nobody in the salon could even look at him anymore.
The young employee carefully continued trimming the old man’s hair with steady hands.
Still calm.
Still respectful.
As if nothing had changed.
Harrison noticed immediately.
“What’s your name, son?”
“Daniel.”
“You knew I was poor when you helped me.”
Daniel nodded slightly.
“My father used to ask strangers for help too.”
The old billionaire became very quiet after hearing that.
Outside the giant glass windows, rain slowly began falling across the city streets.
Harrison studied Daniel carefully through the mirror.
“You didn’t laugh at me.”
Daniel shrugged softly.
“People remember how you treat them when they’re struggling.”
The old man smiled sadly.
“Yes… they do.”
A few minutes later, Daniel carefully removed the salon cape and handed Harrison a mirror.
The transformation was incredible.
The exhausted homeless-looking man now looked sharp, clean, and powerful again.
But Harrison barely glanced at himself.
Instead, he slowly stood and reached into his coat pocket.
The entire salon watched nervously.
Then—
He pulled out a small silver key.
Daniel frowned slightly.
“What’s that?”
Harrison placed the key gently into his hand.
“Office 47.”
The receptionist looked confused.
But one senior stylist suddenly gasped.
Because Office 47 existed only at Vale Luxury Group headquarters.
The executive floor.
Harrison looked directly at Daniel.
“Tomorrow morning, that office becomes yours.”
Daniel’s eyes widened.
“Sir… I’m just a stylist.”
“No,” Harrison said quietly.
“You’re the first good man I’ve met in a very long time.”
The room fell silent again.
Then Harrison’s expression suddenly changed.
His eyes shifted toward the salon television mounted near the waiting area.
Breaking news flashed across the screen.
A giant red banner appeared:
The entire salon froze.
Daniel slowly looked back at the old billionaire.
But Harrison wasn’t surprised.
He looked tired.
Like he had been expecting this moment.
Outside, black cars suddenly pulled up beside the salon.
Doors opened.
Men in expensive suits stepped out into the rain.
And the moment Harrison saw them…
his smile disappeared completely.
“They found me faster than I thought,” he whispered.
