The Call That Changed Everything
The mansion doors swung open.
Several men in dark suits walked inside.
An older gentleman followed, his expression calm.
He looked at the bruises on his daughter.
“Who touched you?”
She silently pointed toward the couple.
The man on the sofa forced a nervous smile.
“This is all a misunderstanding.”
The older gentleman ignored him.
Instead, he placed a folder on the marble table.
“Your company is bankrupt.”
The woman’s champagne glass slipped from her hand and shattered.
“That’s impossible.”
He looked at her without anger.
“It became possible the moment you hurt my daughter.”
The young woman finally lifted her head.
“I warned you.”
No one in the mansion spoke.
The older gentleman gently placed his coat over her shoulders.
“Let’s go home.”
As they walked toward the waiting car—
the couple realized too late…
they hadn’t humiliated a helpless woman…
they had declared war on the wrong family.
