The Drawing in Her Backpack
The little girl squeezed the biker’s hand.
They continued walking together.
Then—
she stopped.
“Wait.”
She opened her small backpack.
And pulled out a folded drawing.
It showed a little girl holding hands with a giant biker.
Behind them stood dozens of motorcycles.
At the top, she had written:
“My safe place.”
The biker stared at it.
His eyes filled with tears.
“You drew this?”
She nodded.
“Mom says heroes don’t always wear capes.”
“Sometimes they wear leather.”
The biker smiled through the tears.
Then carefully folded the picture and slipped it into his vest pocket.
“I’ll carry this everywhere.”
The little girl hugged him tightly.
And as they walked away—
the people on the sidewalk no longer saw a scary biker.
They saw a man protecting a child who trusted him with her whole heart.
