The Watch He Couldn’t Forget
The old man looked down at the burger.
Then slowly toward the biker.
His eyes settled on the man’s wrist.
An old silver watch.
Scratched.
Worn with time.
The old man’s hand began to tremble.
His voice barely a whisper.
“Where did you get that?”
The biker glanced at the watch.
“My father gave it to me.”
The old man froze.
A tear slipped down his cheek.
Slowly—
he reached inside his blanket.
Pulling out a faded black-and-white photograph.
Two young men stood side by side.
Laughing.
One of them wore the exact same watch.
The biker stared at the photo.
Confused.
Then turned it over.
His breath caught.
A familiar name was written on the back.
The same name engraved inside the watch.
His father’s name.
The biker looked at the old man.
His voice shaking.
“You knew my dad?”
The old man smiled sadly.
For a long moment, he couldn’t answer.
Then he nodded.
“I didn’t just know him.”
“We were brothers.”
The biker’s eyes filled with tears.
He looked back at the watch.
Suddenly, it felt heavier than ever before.
Then—
without hesitation—
he wrapped his arms around the old man.
The old man hugged him back.
Crying openly.
Because after years of believing he had lost his only family—
his nephew had found him.
Right there.
On a cold curb outside a diner.
