The Name on the Drawing
The biker held the drawing carefully.
Afraid to bend it.
Afraid to look away.
The little girl smiled.
Proud of her artwork.
Then—
the biker noticed something.
A name written in the corner.
Small.
Almost hidden.
“Daddy – Jake.”
The biker froze.
His smile vanished.
His hands began to shake.
The little girl tilted her head.
“What’s wrong?”
The biker couldn’t answer.
Not yet.
Because his name was Jake.
Slowly—
he looked at the man in the drawing again.
The beard.
The motorcycle.
The worn leather vest.
His heart started pounding.
“Who drew this with you?”
The little girl pointed toward the diner.
“My mommy.”
The biker turned.
Standing near the entrance was a woman.
Watching from a distance.
Tears already in her eyes.
The biker stopped breathing.
He knew that face.
Even after all these years.
The woman took a slow step forward.
Then another.
The little girl looked between them.
Confused.
“Do you know each other?”
Neither answered.
The biker’s eyes filled with tears.
The woman’s lips trembled.
Finally—
she whispered his name.
“Jake.”
The little girl’s eyes widened.
She looked at the drawing.
Then at the biker.
Then back at her mother.
A realization slowly appeared on her face.
The biker dropped to one knee.
Unable to stop crying.
The little girl stared at him.
Speechless.
Then he managed to whisper—
“I never stopped looking for you.”
The little girl’s breath caught.
Because the stranger who fixed her bicycle
wasn’t just a biker.
He was the daddy from her drawing.
