The Lion on His Vest

The biker went completely still.

The city noise faded into the background.

Cars passing.

Coffee cups clinking.

Cold wind moving through the night.

None of it seemed to reach him anymore.

Only one word stayed in the air.

Lily.

His grip slowly tightened around the coffee cup.

Eyes fixed on the trembling little girl.

“You said… Lily?” he asked quietly.

The girl nodded quickly.

Tears still falling.

“She told me if something bad happened…” the girl whispered, voice shaking,

“…find the man with the lion.”

The biker looked down at the patch on his leather vest.

Old.

Worn.

Familiar.

Something painful crossed his face.

The Debt That Set Them Free

Then—

headlights stopped across the street.

A black SUV.

Engine still running.

The girl instantly stepped closer to him.

Terrified.

“That’s him,” she whispered.

The biker looked up slowly.

A tall man stepped out.

Cold expression.

Watching them.

Waiting.

The biker stood immediately.

Chair scraping hard against the pavement.

Big.

Protective.

Different now.

He looked down at the girl.

“What’s your name, kid?”

She swallowed hard.

The Fall That Changed Everything

“Emma.”

The biker gave a slow nod.

Then removed his leather jacket.

Carefully wrapping it around her small shoulders.

When he looked back toward the man—

his expression had changed completely.

Dangerous.

Personal.

Because if Lily had sent her here—

then this wasn’t some stranger’s problem anymore.

The biker stepped forward.

Voice low.

Dead serious.

“Tell me something, Emma…”

A pause.

“Where’s your mother?”
