The Name He Never Forgot
The biker went completely silent.
The cold wind moved between the cafe tables.
Cars passed.
People talked.
But none of it seemed to reach him.
Only one name remained in his mind.
Lily.
The little girl wiped her eyes.
Still trembling.
Still afraid.
“You know her?” she whispered.
The biker looked away for a moment.
Jaw tightening.
Then headlights appeared across the street.
A black SUV sat at the curb.
Engine running.
Waiting.
The girl immediately moved closer to him.
Fear covering her face.
“That man…” she whispered.
“He says he’s my father.”
The biker followed her gaze.
A tall man stood beside the vehicle.
Watching them.
Not moving.
Not smiling.
The biker slowly stood from his chair.
His expression had changed completely.
Protective.
Serious.
“Where is your mother now?” he asked quietly.
The girl’s eyes filled with tears again.
“She told me to run.”
A pause.
“Then she pushed me into a taxi.”
The biker’s heart sank.
The lion patch on his vest suddenly felt heavier than ever.
He looked toward the man by the SUV.
Then back at the child.
For years, he had searched for answers about Lily.
Now her daughter was standing in front of him.
Alone.
Terrified.
And asking for help.
The biker gently placed his jacket around her shoulders.
Then took her small shaking hand.
When he looked back at the man across the street, his eyes were cold.
Because this was no longer a stranger’s problem.
This was Lily’s child.
And nobody was taking her away.
