The Black Card Exposed a Secret Nobody Knew
The hall fell completely silent.
Every eye was fixed on the young boy.
The woman in the navy blazer stared at the black card as if she had seen a ghost.
“This account…” she whispered.
Her voice trembled.
“That can’t be possible.”
The manager behind the marble counter looked at the terminal again.
Then he looked at the card.
Then back at the screen.
The color drained from his face.
“Ma’am,” he said carefully, “the account is authentic.”
A wave of murmurs spread through the crowd.
The woman took a step backward.
“No. That’s impossible.”
The boy remained calm.
He folded his hands behind his back.
“Why is it impossible?” he asked quietly.
The woman couldn’t answer.
Instead, she stared at the name engraved on the card.
HARRI HUES.
A name she hadn’t heard spoken aloud in years.
The manager cleared his throat.
“Sir, according to our records, this account belongs to the founder of the Hues Group.”
Gasps echoed throughout the hall.
The Hues Group was one of the largest business empires in the country.
Its mysterious founder had disappeared from public life years ago.
Very few people had ever met him.
The woman shook her head.
“The founder is an old man.”
The boy nodded.
“He was.”
The room became even quieter.
“What do you mean?” someone asked.
The boy reached into his pocket and removed a folded photograph.
He placed it on the counter.
The manager picked it up.
His eyes widened instantly.
In the photo stood the founder of the Hues Group.
Beside him was the same young boy.
The date printed on the picture was only six months old.
The crowd erupted into whispers.
The woman looked as though she could barely breathe.
“Who are you?” she asked.
The boy finally met her gaze.
“My name is Ethan.”
He paused.
“Harri Hues was my grandfather.”
The words hit the room like thunder.
Several people gasped.
Others exchanged stunned looks.
The manager quickly checked the records again.
Everything matched.
Every document.
Every authorization.
Every security code.
The account had recently been transferred to a legal heir.
And that heir was standing right in front of them.
The woman’s confidence completely vanished.
Just minutes earlier, she had threatened to call the police on him.
Now she looked terrified.
“I… I didn’t know,” she stammered.
Ethan’s expression remained unchanged.
“My grandfather warned me that some people only respect power when they see it.”
The words made several guests lower their eyes.
Then Ethan looked around the hall.
“I didn’t come here to prove who I am.”
“Then why are you here?” the manager asked.
Ethan slowly removed a sealed envelope from his backpack.
The envelope carried the official seal of the Hues Group.
“I came because my grandfather left final instructions.”
The room grew silent once again.
The manager carefully opened the envelope.
His eyes widened as he read the first page.
“What is it?” someone asked.
The manager looked up in disbelief.
“This document changes ownership of this entire building.”
A collective gasp filled the hall.
The woman in the navy blazer froze.
The building she managed.
The building where she had just humiliated the boy.
The building she believed would soon be under her control.
Now belonged to someone else.
And according to the document, the new owner was standing right in front of her.
But Ethan pointed to the final page.
The manager’s hands trembled.
He turned the page.
Then his jaw dropped.
“What does it say?” the crowd demanded.
The manager looked directly at the woman.
“It says the new owner has one final condition.”
The woman swallowed nervously.
“What condition?”
Ethan finally smiled.
“A full investigation into what has been happening here.”
The smile disappeared from her face.
Because she knew exactly what that investigation would uncover.
To be continued…
