The Secret Hidden Beneath the Scar

The biker stared at the implant.

His whiskey sat forgotten on the bar.

“What did your mother say?” he asked quietly.

The boy swallowed.

“She said if anything happened to her, I had to find a man named Kane.”

The biker’s face tightened.

That was his name.

A cold silence spread through the bar.

The boy carefully held out the rusted robot toy.

Kane recognized it instantly.

Years ago, he had built it from scrap metal for someone he once trusted more than anyone.

Someone who had disappeared without a trace.

His hands trembled as he took the toy.

“Where is your mother now?”

The boy lowered his eyes.

“I don’t know.”

The answer hit harder than Kane expected.

Then he noticed something scratched into the robot’s metal base.

A set of numbers.

Coordinates.

The Debt That Set Them Free

Kane went completely still.

The implant.

The toy.

The message.

None of it was an accident.

He looked at the boy and slowly stood.

Around them, every biker in the bar had gone silent.

Kane slipped the toy into his jacket.

Then rested a hand on the boy’s shoulder.

“Looks like,” he said grimly, “we’re going to find your mother.”

And for the first time that night—

the boy smiled.
