The Warrior Who Made Dragons Fear the Sky

The arena trembled beneath fire.

Stone cracked.

Dust exploded upward.

And still—

the warrior stood.

Unmoving.

Unbroken.

Flaming embers drifted around scarred skin while rusted chains rattled violently against his body like they no longer belonged there.

Above—

the blood-red heavens split open.

Lightning crawled through crimson clouds.

The glowing celestial sigil burned brighter.

Watching.

Waiting.

Judging.

The three colossal dragons stepped backward.

Uneasy now.

Their molten eyes fixed not on prey—

but something far worse.

Recognition.

The Debt That Set Them Free

The warrior slowly lowered his burning hand.

Smoke curled from his fingertips.

The dragon-shaped medallion buried into his skin glowed brighter than fire itself.

Then—

one of the dragons finally spoke.

Its voice thundered across the arena.

“No…”

The beast lowered its massive head.

Ancient fear trembling beneath rage.

“It cannot be him.”

The crowd stirred nervously.

Thousands whispering.

Confused.

Afraid.

Far above—

inside the royal balcony—

hooded rulers rose from their stone seats.

Panic spreading behind jeweled masks.

One old priest staggered backward.

Hands trembling violently.

The Fall That Changed Everything

“The mark…” he whispered.

“Seal the gates!”

But it was already too late.

The warrior finally moved.

Slow.

Heavy.

Purposeful.

One step across bloodstained stone.

Then another.

The chains around his wrists suddenly pulled tight.

Groaning.

Cracking.

The warrior clenched his fist.

Pain flashed across his face.

Then—

Iron exploded apart.

Fragments scattered across the arena floor.

Gasps echoed through the coliseum.

Another chain snapped.

Then another.

The dragons growled louder.

Smoke pouring from their jaws.

But none attacked.

Because now—

they remembered.

The warrior lifted his eyes.

Cold.

Ancient.

No longer human.

His voice came low.

Like fire buried beneath stone.

“You remember who chained me.”

Lightning shattered the sky.

The largest dragon stepped back again.

Its claws scraping violently against broken rock.

“You were buried!”

The warrior’s expression hardened.

“No.”

The medallion burned brighter against his flesh.

“I was betrayed.”

Suddenly—

the celestial sigil above the arena ignited completely.

Crimson fire spiraled downward from the heavens.

The crowd screamed.

Wind exploded through the coliseum.

Soldiers lost footing.

Torches died instantly.

Then—

from beneath the shattered arena floor—

something moved.

Deep below stone.

Heavy.

Ancient.

A sound echoed upward.

Chains.

Massive chains.

Dragging through darkness.

The warrior slowly turned toward the cracking earth.

Eyes narrowing.

Memory returning.

Pain becoming fury.

The dragons lowered themselves instinctively.

Fear replacing power.

Because buried beneath the arena—

something had awakened.

Something even dragons feared.

Then—

the warrior whispered quietly—

almost to himself—

“…you waited for me.”

The ground exploded.

And something colossal began rising.
