PART 2: The Girl Who Limped Into Wrenchhouse Customs

The garage stayed silent.

Doc Sutter carefully rolled the fabric above Lila’s knee while Mack Rourke watched from beside her, his jaw tightening harder with every second.

Dark bruises wrapped around the child’s leg.

Not from one fall.

Not from an accident.

From repeated damage.

Doc’s voice lowered dangerously.

“Who told you to stay quiet?”

Lila’s eyes dropped instantly to the oil-stained floor.

Nobody in the garage moved.

The older mechanics already understood the answer they weren’t hearing.

Mack crouched lower, keeping his voice calm.

“Sweetheart… did somebody hurt you?”

Lila hesitated.

Then gave the smallest nod imaginable.

A wrench clattered loudly somewhere behind them as one of the bikers lost his grip completely.

The atmosphere inside Wrenchhouse Customs changed instantly.

The warmth disappeared.

Only tension remained.

Doc Sutter stood slowly, wiping grease-covered hands against a rag while anger settled heavily into his expression.

The Debt That Set Them Free

“This leg needs a hospital,” he muttered.

Lila panicked immediately.

“No!” she cried softly, stepping backward despite the pain. “Please don’t call anybody… he said they’d send me back.”

Mack’s face hardened.

“Who?”

The little girl wrapped trembling arms around herself.

Her voice barely escaped above a whisper.

“My uncle.”

Silence crushed the garage again.

Outside, Heritage Day music drifted faintly through the open bay doors—children laughing, people celebrating, the town pretending life was normal.

Inside Wrenchhouse Customs, every biker in the room looked ready to tear something apart.

Mack slowly removed his leather vest and draped it gently around Lila’s shoulders.

“You’re safe here,” he said quietly.

But Lila didn’t look convinced.

Then the sound of tires crunching outside the garage broke the silence.

A truck door slammed.

Heavy boots hit gravel.

And Doc Sutter’s expression turned cold as he glanced toward the bay doors.

Because deep down—

He already knew exactly who had come looking for her.
