PART 2: The Name That Silenced the Bar

The entire biker bar froze.

Marcus Holloway stared at the little girl like the air had been ripped from his lungs.

Nobody spoke.

Nobody moved.

Rain hammered the windows harder while old country music crackled weakly from the jukebox before dying into static.

Marcus stepped closer slowly.

Too slowly.

Like approaching a ghost.

“What did you say?” he asked quietly.

The little girl tightened her grip on the soaked straps of her backpack.

“My dad,” she whispered again. “Daniel Carter.”

Several bikers exchanged stunned looks instantly.

One muttered under his breath.

“That’s impossible…”

Because Daniel Carter had died six years earlier.

Everybody in the room knew it.

Or thought they did.

Marcus’s scarred hand curled tightly against the table beside him.

“Who brought you here?” he asked.

The girl shook her head.

The Debt That Set Them Free

“Nobody.”

Marcus frowned.

“You walked into a biker bar alone in the middle of the night?”

She nodded once.

Then slowly reached into her jacket pocket.

Every biker in the room stiffened instinctively.

But the little girl only pulled out an old silver lighter.

Scratched.

Burned around the edges.

The raven emblem engraved on the metal matched Marcus’s tattoo exactly.

His face changed immediately.

Recognition.

Memory.

Pain.

Marcus took the lighter carefully from her tiny hand like it might explode if held too hard.

The engraving on the back made his breathing stop cold.

If anything happens to me… find Grim.

Daniel’s handwriting.

Marcus lowered himself heavily into the chair behind him.

For the first time in years, fear showed openly in his eyes.

The Fall That Changed Everything

The girl swallowed hard before speaking again.

“He told my mom you’d protect me if he never came back.”

Silence crushed the room.

Then—

The bar’s front windows exploded inward.

Glass erupted across the floor as headlights flooded the smoke-filled room from outside.

Black SUVs.

Engines roaring.

And every biker in the bar reached for a weapon at the exact same time.
