PART 2: The Princess Beneath the Iron Helmet Opens Her Eyes

The cathedral stood frozen in stunned silence.

Princess Elina blinked slowly beneath the candlelight, silver eyes reflecting the thousands of flames surrounding her like living stars.

No one looked away.

No one could.

Prince Richard stared at her as though the world he understood had just split open in front of him.

“She’s…” one noble whispered breathlessly.

“Impossible,” another murmured.

The old king stepped protectively beside his daughter at once, emotion trembling through his aging hands.

For years, kingdoms had mocked him.

Called him cruel.

Ashamed.

Mad.

Now every rumor collapsed beneath the cathedral chandeliers.

Elina lifted her gaze carefully across the crowd, uncertainty flickering behind her silver eyes like someone seeing the world for the first time.

Then the cathedral doors burst open.

The sound cracked through the silence.

Cold wind tore through the hall, extinguishing rows of candles instantly as armored guards rushed inside soaked from rain.

At their center stood a wounded royal messenger struggling to breathe.

“Your Majesty…” he gasped desperately. “The northern wall—”

He stopped the moment he saw Elina’s uncovered face.

The Debt That Set Them Free

The man’s expression drained of all color.

Not from fear.

Recognition.

He dropped to one knee so fast his armor struck the stone floor hard enough to echo through the cathedral.

“The Silver-Eyed Queen…” he whispered shakily.

The words hit the cathedral like lightning.

Nobles began whispering frantically.

Older lords crossed themselves in panic.

Because everyone knew the legend.

A prophecy buried for centuries.

The child born with silver eyes would either unite the kingdoms—

Or destroy them completely.

Prince Richard slowly turned toward Elina again, his face no longer filled with shock alone.

Now there was fear too.

The old king stepped directly in front of his daughter.

“Enough,” he warned sharply.

But the messenger looked up again, trembling.

“They’ve already crossed the border,” he whispered.

Thunder shook the cathedral windows violently.

Then—

The Fall That Changed Everything

Far outside beyond the castle walls—

War horns began sounding across the storm-dark kingdom.

And for the first time in her life, Princess Elina understood why her father had hidden her from the world.
