Her voice shook.
“That’s Noah Bennett.”
The hallway suddenly fell silent.

The nurse’s breathing became uneven.
“He’s been missing for three days.”
Gasps spread across the emergency room.
The construction worker stared in disbelief.
“What?”
The nurse quickly grabbed her phone with trembling hands and pulled up a missing child alert.

Same small scar above the eyebrow.
It was him.
The little boy the entire city had been searching for.
The exhausted worker looked down at the unconscious child in shock.
“He was alone at the site,” he whispered. “No adults. No car.”
The nurse’s eyes filled with tears.
“Noah’s mother hasn’t left the police station since he disappeared.”
Doctors immediately pushed the child toward surgery again as alarms continued echoing around them.

The nurse rushed beside him.
“Noah?”
His lips trembled slightly.
Barely audible.
“…don’t let him take me back.”
A heavy silence crashed through the hallway.
The construction worker’s expression darkened instantly.

Those were the words of a terrified one.
Then security guards suddenly appeared near the ER entrance.

a sharply dressed man rushed into the hospital looking panicked.
“That’s my son!”
The nurse froze.
Because she recognized him too.

The same man police publicly praised for helping search the city.
