PART 2 — “The Beast Beneath the Snow”

The blizzard roared louder through the frozen pine forest while snow swirled violently between the towering trees.

The armed riders remained frozen on horseback.

Rifles raised.
Breathing heavy.

And standing between them and the frightened child—

was the enormous black wolf.

Its glowing yellow eyes burned through the storm.

Steam rose from its mouth with every slow breath while snow gathered across its thick dark fur.

The young blonde girl clung tightly to the wolf’s side beneath the freezing wind.

Tears streamed down her pale cheeks.

“Please… don’t shoot him!”

One rider tightened his grip on the rifle nervously.

“That thing’s dangerous!”

But before he could aim—

the oldest rider suddenly raised his arm sharply.

“Lower the gun.”

The younger man looked at him in disbelief.

“But sir—”

“I said lower it.”

Thunder rumbled far beyond the mountains while icy wind swept through the forest around them.

Slowly—

The Debt That Set Them Free

the rifle lowered.

The wolf never blinked.

Never backed away from the little girl.

It only stood protectively beside her beneath the storm.

Then quietly—

the child wrapped both small arms around the giant animal’s neck.

The riders exchanged stunned looks immediately.

Because the beast did not attack.

Did not growl.

Instead—

the massive wolf slowly lowered its head beside the frightened girl.

Almost gently.

The oldest rider stared silently through the blowing snow.

Realization slowly spreading across his weathered face.

“She’s been with it for days…”

Another rider shook his head nervously.

“That’s impossible.”

But the evidence stood directly before them.

The child was alive.

Warm.

The Fall That Changed Everything

Protected.

In the middle of a deadly mountain blizzard.

Then suddenly—

the wolf’s ears twitched sharply.

Its growl returned instantly.

Low.
Dangerous.

Not aimed at the riders.

At something deeper in the forest.

The horses panicked again.

Snorting violently beneath the storm.

One rider turned toward the trees.

“What now?”

Then—

movement.

Dark figures slowly emerged through the blizzard between the pines.

Five men.

Heavy coats.
Torches.
Rifles in their hands.

The little girl froze instantly.

Fear exploded across her face.

“That’s them…”

The wolf stepped forward immediately.

Fur rising along its massive back.

The armed strangers stopped when they saw the enormous black beast standing in the snow.

One of the men cursed under his breath.

“There it is.”

The oldest rider’s eyes narrowed.

“You know this animal?”

The torch-bearing man smirked coldly.

“That wolf killed two of our trappers.”

The little girl shook violently beside the beast.

“No!”

Her terrified voice cracked through the storm.

“They locked me outside… they left me to freeze!”

Silence hit the forest.

Even the wind suddenly felt quieter.

The riders slowly looked toward the armed men standing among the trees.

Realization settling heavily across their faces.

The frightened girl pointed desperately toward the trappers.

“They tried to leave him in a steel trap too…”

The black wolf released a monstrous snarl.

The sound thundered through the blizzard like something ancient and wild.

One trapper immediately raised his rifle.

BIG mistake.

Before the trigger could pull—

the wolf exploded forward through the snow.

FAST.

A black blur beneath the screaming storm.

The horses reared violently while men shouted in panic.

Snow blasted into the air as the giant beast slammed directly into the armed trapper.

The rifle fired wildly into the trees—

BANG.

Birds erupted screaming into the storm-dark sky.

Chaos consumed the frozen forest instantly.

And standing there clutching her pink jacket tightly against the freezing wind—

the little girl realized something terrifying.

The creature protecting her…

was no monster at all.
