PART 2: The Babies in the Storm

The diner stayed silent except for the sound of rain and the babies crying softly.

The man stared at the silver necklace in shock, his hands trembling harder.

Engraved across the tiny charm were two words:

For Lily.

His breath broke instantly.

“Where is she?” he asked desperately.

The little girl hugged the babies closer.

“She told me to run,” she whispered.

The man’s face drained of color.

“When?”

“She wouldn’t wake up after the car stopped.”

Gasps spread through the diner.

The babies cried louder as the girl struggled to calm them.

The man slowly dropped to his knees in front of her.

Tears filled his eyes as he looked at the newborn boy again.

Same eyes.

Same tiny dimple.

His daughter’s face.

One biker near the counter stood up slowly.

“You know these kids?” he asked carefully.

The Debt That Set Them Free

The man nodded once, unable to speak.

Then finally whispered—

“They’re my grandchildren.”

The entire diner froze.

Outside, headlights suddenly appeared through the rain-covered windows.

A black SUV rolled slowly into the parking lot.

The little girl panicked instantly.

“They found us.”

Every chair in the diner scraped backward at once.

And suddenly—

nobody inside looked tired anymore.
