PART 2: The Name That Started a War
The diner went silent after the little girl whispered the name.
The biker’s jaw tightened instantly.
He grabbed his phone and stood up fast.
“Call every rider,” he said coldly.
Outside, engines thundered across the desert highway.
The little girl looked up nervously.
“Are you mad?”
The biker crouched beside her gently.
“No, sweetheart,” he said quietly.
“I’m late.”
She clutched the edge of the booth.
“My mommy said you’d help us.”
His expression cracked for the first time.
“What’s your mama’s name?”
“…Elena.”
The biker froze.
Because Elena wasn’t just someone he knew.
She was someone he failed to protect once already.
Outside, dozens of motorcycles rolled into the truck stop beneath the burning Nevada sun.
The desert no longer felt empty.
It felt like something dangerous had finally woken up.
