PART 2: The Night the Serpents Became Family

The garage stayed silent except for the weak sound of the baby breathing.

No rock music anymore.
No tools clanging.
No engines roaring.

Only tension.

The tall biker held the tiny infant carefully against his chest while another Serpent rushed over with clean towels and bottled water.

“Ambulance is coming!” someone shouted from the office.

The little girl sat trembling on the concrete floor, tears running down her dirty cheeks.

One older biker removed his leather jacket and wrapped it gently around her shoulders.

“You’re safe now, kid.”

She looked up slowly, still shaking.

The tall biker glanced down at the baby.

“What’s her name?”

“Luna,” the girl whispered.

The biker nodded softly.

“Okay, Luna… stay with us.”

The baby gave a tiny weak cry.

Relief spread across the garage instantly.

Several bikers quietly exhaled at the same time.

The older biker crouched beside the little girl.

“What’s your name, sweetheart?”

“Ellie.”

The Debt That Set Them Free

“How long you been carrying her around like this?”

Ellie lowered her eyes.

“Since this morning.”

The room froze again.

One biker muttered softly, “Jesus…”

Ellie wiped her face with trembling hands.

“I didn’t know where else to go.”

The tall biker looked at her carefully.

“Why come here?”

Ellie hesitated before answering.

“A man at the shelter told me the Serpents protect people.”

Several bikers exchanged surprised looks.

Nobody outside the club usually said things like that about them.

The older biker gave a faint smile.

“Guess somebody still believes in us.”

Rain began tapping softly against the garage roof outside while red ambulance lights flashed faintly in the distance.

Ellie looked around nervously at the tattooed men surrounding her.

“You’re not mad?”

The question hit every biker hard.

The tall biker stepped closer and gently placed a rough hand on her shoulder.

The Fall That Changed Everything

“Mad?” he said softly. “Kid… you saved her life.”

Ellie’s face crumpled instantly.

All the fear she’d been holding finally broke apart.

She buried her face in the oversized leather jacket while crying from exhaustion and relief.

No one looked away.

No one laughed.

Because every man in that garage understood something in that moment—

this tiny girl had carried a baby across the city alone searching for help.

And somehow—

she found it.

The ambulance sirens finally echoed outside the garage doors.

But even before the paramedics entered—

the atmosphere inside had already changed completely.

The Serpents no longer looked like dangerous bikers standing around a garage.

They looked like guardians.

Protectors.

Family.

And sitting beneath the harsh industrial lights with Luna finally safe in their arms—

Ellie realized something important.

Sometimes the safest people in the world are the ones everyone else is taught to fear.
