PART 2: The Biker Vest Returned After Twenty Years
The biker yard fell silent beneath the burning afternoon sun.
Engines stopped rumbling.
Conversations died instantly.
Every member of the Iron Outlaws stared at the little girl standing alone in the gravel.
Their leader, a massive gray-bearded biker named Crow, held the old leather vest in trembling hands.
Inside the lining, stitched carefully beneath the faded fabric, was the symbol only original club members knew about.
A black serpent wrapped around a broken chain.
The mark of the founding brothers.
A symbol buried with one man twenty years earlier.
Ryder Kane.
Crow’s closest friend.
The same man everyone believed died during a bloody highway ambush near the Nevada border.
Crow looked down at the child carefully. “What did you say your father’s name was?”
The girl wiped her eyes with shaking fingers.
“Ryder.”
Several bikers behind Crow immediately cursed under their breath.
One older member slowly removed his sunglasses in disbelief.
“That’s impossible,” he muttered.
Crow crouched slowly in front of the little girl.
“What’s your name, kid?”
“Emma.”
The name hit him like a punch to the chest.
Years ago, Ryder once told Crow that if he ever had a daughter, he would name her Emma after his late mother.
Crow looked at the vest again.
Old blood stains still marked one shoulder.
Memories came rushing back.
Gunfire on a desert highway.
Burning motorcycles.
Ryder shoving Crow behind cover moments before the explosion.
They never found a body afterward.
Only the torn vest.
Until now.
“Where’s your father?” Crow asked quietly.
Emma looked down at the dirt.
“He told me to bring this here if anything happened to him.”
The biker yard suddenly felt colder.
Crow’s expression darkened. “What happened?”
Before Emma could answer, the sound of motorcycles echoed from the highway outside the compound gates.
Fast.
Aggressive.
Several Iron Outlaws instantly reached for weapons.
One younger biker climbed the watchtower and looked toward the road.
His face turned pale immediately.
“Crow…”
The leader stood slowly.
“What is it?”
“The Black Reapers.”
A heavy silence spread through the yard.
The Black Reapers were the same rival crew blamed for Ryder Kane’s death two decades earlier.
And they were supposed to be gone.
Destroyed years ago.
Emma suddenly grabbed Crow’s arm tightly.
Her voice trembled.
“My daddy said if they ever found me… it means somebody inside the Outlaws betrayed him.”
Every biker in the yard froze.
Nobody moved.
Nobody spoke.
Because suddenly…
the enemy might not be outside the gates anymore.
