And pulled out a folded drawing.<\/p>\n
It showed a little girl holding hands with a giant biker.<\/p>\n
Behind them stood dozens of motorcycles.<\/p>\n
At the top, she had written:<\/p>\n
“My safe place.”<\/strong><\/p>\n The biker stared at it.<\/p>\n His eyes filled with tears.<\/p>\n \u201cYou drew this?\u201d<\/p>\n She nodded.<\/p>\n \u201cMom says heroes don’t always wear capes.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes they wear leather.\u201d<\/p>\n The biker smiled through the tears.<\/p>\n Then carefully folded the picture and slipped it into his vest pocket.<\/p>\n \u201cI’ll carry this everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n The little girl hugged him tightly.<\/p>\n And as they walked away\u2014<\/p>\n the people on the sidewalk no longer saw a scary biker.<\/p>\n They saw a man protecting a child who trusted him with her whole heart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The little girl squeezed the biker’s hand.
