The elderly woman held the successful woman tightly.<\/p>\n

Neither could stop crying.<\/p>\n

Customers passing by slowed down.<\/p>\n

Watching the reunion.<\/p>\n

Then\u2014<\/p>\n

the woman in the white coat looked toward the wall of the noodle shop.<\/p>\n

Her eyes suddenly fixed on an old photograph.<\/p>\n

Yellowed with age.<\/p>\n

Faded by sunlight.<\/p>\n

She walked over to it.<\/p>\n

And froze.<\/p>\n

The picture showed a young version of the elderly woman.<\/p>\n

Standing beside a little girl.<\/p>\n

Holding a bowl of noodles.<\/p>\n

The old woman smiled softly.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou remember that day?\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman’s eyes filled with tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then she noticed something written beneath the photograph.<\/p>\n

A handwritten note.<\/p>\n

One she had never seen before.<\/p>\n

Slowly, she read it aloud.<\/p>\n

Feed the hungry whenever you can. One meal can change a life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her voice cracked.<\/p>\n

The elderly woman looked away.<\/p>\n

Embarrassed by the attention.<\/p>\n

But the woman in the white coat wasn’t finished.<\/p>\n

She reached into her purse.<\/p>\n

And carefully placed a set of documents on the table.<\/p>\n

The old woman frowned.<\/p>\n

Confused.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is this?\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman smiled through tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s yours.\u201d<\/p>\n

The elderly woman opened the papers.<\/p>\n

Her hands immediately began to shake.<\/p>\n

Because the documents showed that the building.<\/p>\n

The shop.<\/p>\n

The land beneath it.<\/p>\n

Had all been paid for.<\/p>\n

Forever.<\/p>\n

The old woman’s eyes widened.<\/p>\n

The woman nodded.<\/p>\n

A tear rolling down her cheek.<\/p>\n

Then she gently took the elderly woman’s hands.<\/p>\n

The same hands that had once given her a free meal.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou fed an orphan when nobody else would.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNow let me take care of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

And suddenly\u2014<\/p>\n

the bowl of noodles given years ago<\/p>\n
