Tears streamed down her cheeks.<\/p>\n

The biker squeezed her hand.<\/p>\n

Weak.<\/p>\n

But alive.<\/p>\n

The golden sunset glowed around them.<\/p>\n

For a moment\u2014<\/p>\n

nothing else mattered.<\/p>\n

Then\u2014<\/p>\n

the little girl noticed something.<\/p>\n

A folded piece of paper sticking out of his leather jacket.<\/p>\n

Partially covered in dust.<\/p>\n

She carefully pulled it free.<\/p>\n

The biker’s eyes widened instantly.<\/p>\n

His breathing caught.<\/p>\n

The paper was old.<\/p>\n

Worn.<\/p>\n

Protected for years.<\/p>\n

“Daddy… what’s this?”<\/p>\n

The biker stared at it.<\/p>\n

Emotion flooding his face.<\/p>\n

For a long moment\u2014<\/p>\n

he couldn’t answer.<\/p>\n

Then he slowly sat up.<\/p>\n

Ignoring the pain.<\/p>\n

Ignoring the crash.<\/p>\n

Only looking at the paper.<\/p>\n

The little girl unfolded it carefully.<\/p>\n

Inside was a child’s drawing.<\/p>\n

Crayons.<\/p>\n

Stick figures.<\/p>\n

A motorcycle.<\/p>\n

A little girl holding her father’s hand.<\/p>\n

At the top\u2014<\/p>\n

written in shaky handwriting\u2014<\/p>\n

was a promise.<\/p>\n

“Daddy, come home safe.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The little girl froze.<\/p>\n

Recognition filled her eyes.<\/p>\n

“I drew this!”<\/p>\n

The biker smiled through tears.<\/p>\n

A tear rolled down his dusty cheek.<\/p>\n

“I know.”<\/p>\n

The country road fell silent.<\/p>\n

The evening breeze moved through the tall grass.<\/p>\n

The biker carefully took the drawing.<\/p>\n

Holding it against his chest.<\/p>\n

The little girl stared at him.<\/p>\n

Confused.<\/p>\n

Curious.<\/p>\n

“Why did you keep it?”<\/p>\n

The biker looked toward the sunset.<\/p>\n

Then back at her.<\/p>\n

His voice cracked with emotion.<\/p>\n

“Because every time I rode away…”<\/p>\n

He held up the drawing.<\/p>\n

“…this reminded me who I was riding home to.”<\/p>\n

The little girl burst into tears again.<\/p>\n

Throwing her arms around him.<\/p>\n

The biker hugged her tightly.<\/p>\n

As if letting go was impossible.<\/p>\n

Far in the distance\u2014<\/p>\n

sirens finally echoed across the countryside.<\/p>\n

Help was coming.<\/p>\n

But neither of them cared.<\/p>\n

Because at that moment\u2014<\/p>\n

sitting beside a crashed motorcycle beneath a golden sky\u2014<\/p>\n

a father and daughter had already found everything that truly mattered.<\/p>\n
