Outside a dusty roadside gas station in Arizona, heat shimmered above the pavement.<\/p>\n

Motorcycles rumbled softly beneath the afternoon sun.<\/p>\n

A massive biker stood beside his chrome motorcycle, wiping dust from the handlebars.<\/p>\n

Then\u2014<\/p>\n

an eight-year-old girl with a ponytail and oversized backpack slowly walked toward him.<\/p>\n

A small glass jar clutched tightly in both hands.<\/p>\n

She looked nervous.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saved this for something important\u2026\u201d she said quietly.<\/p>\n

The biker glanced at the jar filled with coins.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat looks serious,\u201d he said with a small smile.<\/p>\n

The girl carefully held it out.<\/p>\n

\u201cForty-seven dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n

The biker crouched slightly.<\/p>\n

Confused.<\/p>\n

Listening.<\/p>\n

The little girl turned and pointed toward an elderly man sitting alone on a nearby bench.<\/p>\n

Shoulders tired.<\/p>\n

Eyes distant.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy grandpa misses riding bikes\u2026\u201d she said softly.<\/p>\n

Her voice grew quieter.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan you show him cool motorcycle stuff?\u201d<\/p>\n

The biker looked toward the old man.<\/p>\n

The grandfather gave a weak smile\u2014<\/p>\n

then looked away.<\/p>\n

For a moment\u2014<\/p>\n

the biker said nothing.<\/p>\n

Then he slowly knelt in front of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cKid\u2026\u201d he said warmly.<\/p>\n

A soft smile crossed his face.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrandpas ride free.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few minutes later\u2014<\/p>\n

the old man sat on the motorcycle.<\/p>\n

Laughing like he had not laughed in years.<\/p>\n

The little girl stood nearby\u2014<\/p>\n

holding the empty coin jar.<\/p>\n
