A biker charity parade rolled through a small Colorado mountain town beneath warm golden-hour light.<\/p>\n

Motorcycles rumbled through the streets.<\/p>\n

Crowds smiled and waved from sidewalks lined with flags.<\/p>\n

Near the curb\u2014<\/p>\n

a little girl stood quietly.<\/p>\n

A tiny broken bicycle bell rested in her hands.<\/p>\n

Beside her\u2014<\/p>\n

her small bike sat silent.<\/p>\n

Forgotten.<\/p>\n

One biker noticed her.<\/p>\n

He slowly pulled over.<\/p>\n

Removed his gloves.<\/p>\n

Smiled gently.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat face says bad news,\u201d he said warmly.<\/p>\n

The girl looked down at the broken bell.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy bike sounds boring now\u2026\u201d she sighed softly.<\/p>\n

The biker glanced at the passing riders.<\/p>\n

Then\u2014<\/p>\n

without another word\u2014<\/p>\n

he gave a loud whistle.<\/p>\n

One by one\u2014<\/p>\n

motorcycles slowed.<\/p>\n

Stopped.<\/p>\n

Bikers turned around.<\/p>\n

Moments later\u2014<\/p>\n

ten bikers gathered beside the girl.<\/p>\n

Each holding a shiny new bicycle bell.<\/p>\n

Then suddenly\u2014<\/p>\n

ring ring ring ring.<\/p>\n

Laughter filled the street.<\/p>\n

The bikers handed her the brightest bell of all.<\/p>\n

The little girl\u2019s eyes widened.<\/p>\n

\u201cMine sounds cooler than everybody\u2019s!\u201d she laughed.<\/p>\n

The biker grinned.<\/p>\n

Pointed toward the front of the parade.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen you lead the parade.\u201d<\/p>\n

And for the first time that day\u2014<\/p>\n
