Heavy rain crashed onto a muddy road beneath dark storm clouds.<\/p>\n

A small blonde girl stood alone.<\/p>\n

Trembling.<\/p>\n

Her torn brown dress soaked with rain and dirt.<\/p>\n

A worn ragdoll clutched tightly against her chest.<\/p>\n

Thunder rolled across the empty land.<\/p>\n

Tears slipped down her muddy cheeks as she looked helplessly toward the dark sky.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease help me\u2026\u201d she whispered softly.<\/p>\n

Her voice shaking.<\/p>\n

The wind grew louder.<\/p>\n

Then\u2014<\/p>\n

somewhere in the distance\u2014<\/p>\n

slow horse steps echoed through the storm.<\/p>\n

A cowboy riding a brown horse appeared through the rain.<\/p>\n

He stopped beside her.<\/p>\n

His weathered face softened the moment he saw how frightened she looked.<\/p>\n

Without rushing\u2014<\/p>\n

he slowly leaned down.<\/p>\n

And held out his hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cEasy now,\u201d he said gently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The little girl looked up.<\/p>\n

Trembling lips.<\/p>\n

Eyes full of fear.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was left alone,\u201d she whispered through tears.<\/p>\n

The cowboy carefully placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.<\/p>\n

Warm.<\/p>\n

Steady.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot anymore,\u201d he said softly.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re safe with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the first time all day\u2014<\/p>\n

the little girl stopped shaking.<\/p>\n

Carefully\u2014<\/p>\n

the cowboy lifted her onto the horse in front of him.<\/p>\n

She held her ragdoll tightly while rain poured around them.<\/p>\n

He wrapped one arm protectively around her.<\/p>\n

Took hold of the reins.<\/p>\n

Then smiled gently.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s get you home.\u201d<\/p>\n

And together\u2014<\/p>\n
