Snow drifted softly through the frozen town.<\/p>\n

Slow.<\/p>\n

Quiet.<\/p>\n

Beautiful enough to hide something ugly.<\/p>\n

Wooden storefronts stood buried beneath winter frost while muddy streets turned thick and heavy under wagon tracks and boots.<\/p>\n

Nobody moved much.<\/p>\n

Nobody spoke loudly.<\/p>\n

Because in the center of town\u2014<\/p>\n

something didn\u2019t feel right.<\/p>\n

The cowboy stood motionless in the slush.<\/p>\n

Weathered hat pulled low.<\/p>\n

Long leather coat dusted white with snow.<\/p>\n

Small.<\/p>\n
