But you gotta promise me something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She leaned closer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The biker pointed lightly at the pin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou keep calling me a bear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her eyes lit up instantly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReally?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He nodded again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut only if you promise it\u2019s a friendly one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She giggled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI promise!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mother watched quietly, unsure whether to interrupt or smile.<\/p>\n<p>She chose to smile.<\/p>\n<p>The girl carefully took the pin and held it like treasure.<\/p>\n<p>Then suddenly\u2014<\/p>\n<p>she hugged him again.<\/p>\n<p>Quick.<\/p>\n<p>Unexpected.<\/p>\n<p>The biker paused for half a second\u2026<\/p>\n<p>then gently placed a hand on her back.<\/p>\n<p>The kind of protective gesture that came naturally.<\/p>\n<p>Not forced.<\/p>\n<p>Not learned.<\/p>\n<p>Remembered.<\/p>\n<p>A few seconds later, she pulled back.<\/p>\n<p>Holding up the pin proudly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSee?
