Massive bikers climbed off one by one, black wolf patches stitched across every vest.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody spoke.<\/p>\n<p>They didn\u2019t need to.<\/p>\n<p>The desert suddenly belonged to them.<\/p>\n<p>One older biker stepped forward slowly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou found Marcus\u2019s kid?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The scarred biker nodded once.<\/p>\n<p>Then he pointed directly at the sedan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s in the trunk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every Black Wolf turned toward the car instantly.<\/p>\n<p>Fear spread across the kidnappers\u2019 faces.<\/p>\n<p>One of them panicked and reached for his gun.<\/p>\n<p>Big mistake.<\/p>\n<p>A chain wrapped around his wrist before the weapon even cleared his jacket. Another biker slammed the second man onto the hood hard enough to crack the windshield.<\/p>\n<p>The boy covered his ears as shouting erupted across the station.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the scarred biker walked calmly toward the trunk.<\/p>\n<p>BANG.<\/p>\n<p>Another weak pounding came from inside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarcus?\u201d the biker called loudly.<\/p>\n<p>Silence for one second.<\/p>\n<p>Then a hoarse voice answered from inside the trunk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJake\u2026?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The biker closed his eyes briefly.<\/p>\n<p>Alive.<\/p>\n<p>He ripped the trunk open violently.<\/p>\n<p>Inside lay a bruised and bloodied man tied with chains, barely conscious beneath the desert heat.<\/p>\n<p>The little boy cried instantly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDad!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marcus looked up weakly toward the child standing beside the bikers.<\/p>\n<p>Then toward the scarred biker above him.<\/p>\n<p>A faint smile crossed his bruised face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKnew you\u2019d come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jake slowly helped him out of the trunk while dozens of Black Wolves surrounded the gas station beneath the deepening desert night.<\/p>\n<p>The kidnappers stared around in horror now.<\/p>\n<p>Because they finally understood something too late.<\/p>\n<p>They hadn\u2019t kidnapped an ordinary man.<\/p>\n<p>They had taken one of the Wolves.<\/p>\n<p>And now the entire pack had arrived.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The desert air went silent.
