We just walked in\u2014this doesn\u2019t make sense!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel didn\u2019t answer.<\/p>\n<p>Because he was watching the gold now.<\/p>\n<p>It was forming lines.<\/p>\n<p>Not randomly.<\/p>\n<p>Directly toward the center of the chamber.<\/p>\n<p>A point none of them had stepped on yet.<\/p>\n<p>The whisper came again\u2014closer now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDaniel\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And this time, it wasn\u2019t alone.<\/p>\n<p>Two more voices joined it.<\/p>\n<p>Then three.<\/p>\n<p>All saying his name with the same calm certainty.<\/p>\n<p>The third hunter took a step back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s not possible\u2026 there\u2019s no one here!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s eyes locked on the center of the room.<\/p>\n<p>Where the gold had begun to sink.<\/p>\n<p>Not collapse.<\/p>\n<p><em>Open.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A circular seam split through the treasure layer, revealing darkness beneath.<\/p>\n<p>Cold air rose from it.<\/p>\n<p>Not stale like ruins.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh.<\/p>\n<p>Like something sealed away recently.<\/p>\n<p>The floor beneath the gold moved.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly lifting.<\/p>\n<p>Revealing a smooth stone surface beneath the chamber\u2014engraved with the same carvings on the walls.<\/p>\n<p>Only larger.<\/p>\n<p>Older.<\/p>\n<p>And in the center\u2014<\/p>\n<p>a hollow indentation shaped like a human footprint.<\/p>\n<p>Perfectly sized.<\/p>\n<p>Waiting.<\/p>\n<p>The whisper stopped.<\/p>\n<p>Silence returned so abruptly it felt wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Then Daniel understood what the temple had been doing all along.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t guarding treasure.<\/p>\n<p>It was testing presence.<\/p>\n<p>He stepped back instinctively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one step there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>But the chamber didn\u2019t wait for permission anymore.<\/p>\n<p>The gold around them began sliding inward toward the center point.<\/p>\n<p>Guiding.<\/p>\n<p>Funneling.<\/p>\n<p>As if the entire room had decided where they should stand.<\/p>\n<p>The second hunter\u2019s voice broke.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happens if we don\u2019t\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The answer came without sound.<\/p>\n<p>The carvings on the walls flared faintly, and the word <em>Daniel<\/em> appeared across them in dozens of places at once.<\/p>\n<p>Not written.<\/p>\n<p><em>Activated.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And beneath their feet, the temple finally revealed what it had been waiting for.<\/p>\n<p>A name that wasn\u2019t just spoken.<\/p>\n<p>But <em>claimed<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The gold didn\u2019t shift like treasure anymore.
