\u201cYou forget who you\u2019re speaking to,\u201d he growled.<\/p>\n
The female soldier never moved.<\/p>\n
Water dripped from her soaked black tank top while her dog tags clinked softly against her chest in the storm. Behind her, the exhausted soldier struggled weakly for breath on the freezing deck.<\/p>\n

He lunged forward and slapped the canteen from her hand.<\/p>\n
It skidded across the rain-soaked steel deck.<\/p>\n
Every sailor flinched.<\/p>\n

The entire crew snapped into confusion.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s happening?!\u201d someone shouted.<\/p>\n
A voice suddenly thundered across the ship\u2019s intercom.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnidentified fast-approaching vessel detected off starboard side!\u201d<\/p>\n
The officer spun toward the bridge instantly.<\/p>\n
Another sailor rushed forward holding binoculars, panic spreading across his face.<\/p>\n

Lightning flashed across the black ocean.<\/p>\n

Everyone saw it.<\/p>\n
A massive dark warship emerging through the storm waves like a ghost from the sea.<\/p>\n
No lights.<\/p>\n
No flag.<\/p>\n
Just steel.<\/p>\n
Moving directly toward them.<\/p>\n
The destroyer\u2019s crew immediately broke formation as tension exploded across the deck.<\/p>\n
\u201cBattle stations!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMove!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cGet below!\u201d<\/p>\n
The senior officer barked frantic orders while sailors scrambled across the rain-soaked ship.<\/p>\n

Because she recognized the approaching vessel.<\/p>\n
