2: The Last Bloodline of the Black Reapers

The desert highway went dead silent beneath the flickering lights of the desert gas station.

Hot wind pushed dust across cracked pavement.

Motorcycles idled softly around the pumps.

But nobody moved anymore.

Nobody even breathed normally.

Because burned into the girl’s shoulder—

clear as moonlight—

was the mark of the Black Reapers.

The most feared outlaw syndicate ever erased from official records.

A symbol people stopped speaking about years ago.

The biker nearest to her stumbled backward first.

“No…” he whispered.

“That’s impossible.”

The girl slowly bent down and picked up the torn leather jacket from the pavement.

Calm.

Unhurried.

Like she wasn’t surrounded at all.

The tall biker with the scar across his throat stared at her in horror.

“How old are you?”

The girl looked up while slipping the ruined jacket back over her shoulders.

“Old enough to know your names.”

That hit harder than a weapon.

Several bikers exchanged nervous looks instantly.

Because she shouldn’t know them.

Nobody outside their circle knew them.

Yet she pointed directly toward the tallest biker first.

“Derek Vale.”

Then toward another.

“Tommy Redd.”

A third.

“Lucas Pike.”

Each name landed like a hammer blow.

Fear spread fast now.

Real fear.

The kind hardened men couldn’t hide.

“How the hell do you know us?” Derek demanded.

The girl tilted her head slightly.

Moonlight caught her eyes now.

Cold.

Sharp.

Far too calm for a child alone on a desert highway.

“My father taught me.”

Silence swallowed the pumps again.

Lucas looked pale suddenly.

“That’s not possible.”

The girl smiled faintly.

“You keep saying that.”

Then she slowly reached into the pocket of her torn jacket.

Every biker tensed instantly.

But she only pulled out a small silver lighter.

Old.

Scratched.

Marked with the same black reaper symbol burned into her shoulder.

The moment Derek saw it—

his knees nearly gave out.

Because engraved beneath the symbol were two words:

MALCOLM REYES.

The founder of the Black Reapers.

Dead for twenty years.

Or at least—

that’s what everyone believed.

Lucas shook his head desperately.

“We buried him.”

The girl’s expression finally changed slightly.

Not anger.

Disappointment.

“No,” she answered quietly.

“You buried the wrong man.”

The desert wind suddenly carried another sound across the highway.

Low.

Distant.

Engines.

A lot of them.

Every biker slowly turned toward the dark highway stretching beyond the gas station.

Headlights appeared far away in the darkness.

One pair.

Then ten.

Then dozens.

Growing fast.

Growing louder.

Tommy stepped backward.

“Oh God…”

The girl calmly closed the silver lighter in her hand.

Click.

“They’re late,” she said softly.

The roar became deafening now.

Motorcycles stormed over the desert horizon beneath the moonlight like an army rising from the dead.

Black bikes.

Black headlights.

Black leather.

And every single rider wore the same faded reaper symbol across their chest.

The bikers surrounding the girl looked terrified now.

Because the Black Reapers weren’t just alive.

They were organized.

And coming straight for them.

The first motorcycle slid sideways beside the pumps in a cloud of dust.

A massive rider stepped off slowly.

Older.

Gray beard.

Long black coat moving in the desert wind.

The girl finally relaxed for the first time all night.

“Sorry I’m late, kid,” the rider said quietly.

Derek stared at him like he’d seen a ghost.

“…Reyes.”

The older biker removed his gloves slowly.

Scars crossed both hands.

And burned into his wrist—

the same black tattoo.

Malcolm Reyes looked toward the terrified men surrounding the girl.

Then toward the torn jacket lying across her shoulders.

His jaw tightened.

“You touched my daughter.”

Nobody spoke.

Nobody was stupid enough anymore.

The only sound came from dozens of motorcycles idling around the gas station beneath the desert sky.

Derek tried swallowing his panic.

“We thought you were dead.”

Malcolm stepped forward once.

“That was the idea.”

Then the girl looked toward the stunned bikers and spoke softly:

“You should’ve left when you still had the chance.”

Around them, Black Reaper riders slowly formed a circle beneath the flickering station lights.

Engines rumbling like distant thunder.

No escape routes left now.

No bravado.

No laughter.

Just fear spreading across the empty desert highway.

And standing in the middle of it all—

the little girl no longer looked helpless.

She looked exactly like what she truly was.

The heir to the most feared outlaw empire the desert had ever
