The train cabin stayed completely silent beneath the harsh fluorescent lights.<\/p>\n

Metal wheels echoed softly beneath the moving carriage while every passenger stared toward the aisle.<\/p>\n

The blonde influencer slowly lowered her phone.<\/p>\n

Confusion spread across her face.<\/p>\n

Because the tall man standing beside the blind veteran didn\u2019t look angry.<\/p>\n

He looked controlled.<\/p>\n

Which somehow felt far worse.<\/p>\n

Dark gray suit.

The single word cut through the cabin instantly.<\/p>\n

The badge opened beneath the train lights.<\/p>\n

Federal insignia.<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s face immediately lost color.<\/p>\n

Several passengers gasped quietly.<\/p>\n

The suited man finally introduced himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpecial Agent Marcus Kane.\u201d<\/p>\n

The train suddenly felt even quieter.<\/p>\n

The influencer lowered the phone completely now.<\/p>\n

Fear replacing arrogance.<\/p>\n

Agent Kane looked toward the elderly veteran beside him.<\/p>\n
