whole world depended on it.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"286\" data-end=\"433\">The massive biker kept one arm wrapped protectively around her small shoulders while tears soaked into the leather vest stretched across his chest.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"435\" data-end=\"477\">For years\u2014<br \/>\npeople saw him as intimidating.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"548\">A man built from scars.<br data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2123\">\u201cYou are not somebody people leave behind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2125\" data-end=\"2164\">Tears rolled down her cheeks instantly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2166\" data-end=\"2239\">Behind them, even the bikers looked away for a second after hearing that.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2241\" data-end=\"2324\">The little girl finally whispered the question she\u2019d been terrified to ask all day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2349\">\u201cSo\u2026 what happens now?\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2351\" data-end=\"2397\">The biker glanced toward the courthouse doors.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2399\" data-end=\"2488\">Then toward the chrome motorcycle waiting beside the curb beneath the afternoon sunlight.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2490\" data-end=\"2502\">And finally\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2504\" data-end=\"2516\">back to her.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2518\" data-end=\"2540\">\u201cNow?\u201d he said softly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2542\" data-end=\"2573\">A small smile reached his face.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2575\" data-end=\"2607\">\u201cNow you come home with family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2609\" data-end=\"2649\">The little girl broke down crying again.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2651\" data-end=\"2672\">Not scared this time.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2674\" data-end=\"2683\">Relieved.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2685\" data-end=\"2802\">The biker pulled her into another careful hug while the Texas wind moved gently through the city streets around them.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2804\" data-end=\"2891\">One of the younger bikers quietly carried her lavender backpack toward the motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2893\" data-end=\"3013\">Another handed the little girl a tiny stuffed bear someone had bought from a gas station gift shop earlier that morning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3015\" data-end=\"3057\">She held it against her chest immediately.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3059\" data-end=\"3091\">Like she already belonged there.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3093\" data-end=\"3115\">Because maybe she did.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3117\" data-end=\"3197\">The biker stood slowly while holding her hand tightly in his rough tattooed one.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3199\" data-end=\"3212\">And together\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3214\" data-end=\"3279\">surrounded by leather vests, courthouse steps, and warm sunlight\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3281\" data-end=\"3324\">they walked toward the waiting motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3326\" data-end=\"3351\">Not as strangers anymore.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3353\" data-end=\"3401\">Not as temporary visitors in each other\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3403\" data-end=\"3462\">But as family that had finally found its way back together.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3464\" data-end=\"3507\">And for the first time in a very long time\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3509\" data-end=\"3564\">the little girl stopped worrying about who might leave.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3566\" data-end=\"3597\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Because
