And when his eyes found the booth\u2014<\/p>\n

They stopped.<\/p>\n

The biker didn\u2019t move.<\/p>\n

He just sat there, one arm resting along the back of the seat, the other on the table, his posture loose in a way that didn\u2019t match his focus.<\/p>\n

Behind him, the girl\u2014small, shaking, trying not to breathe too loud\u2014pressed into the corner of the booth.<\/p>\n

He turned slightly, glancing back at the girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cStay with me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

She was already moving.<\/p>\n

Sliding out of the booth, gripping onto his jacket like it was the only solid thing left.<\/p>\n

The biker looked back at the man one last time.<\/p>\n
