looked down at the flowers in his hand.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1065\" data-end=\"1130\">\u201cThey\u2019re not very good anymore,\u201d she said, almost apologetically.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1168\">Wade\u2019s grip tightened just slightly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1200\">\u201cThey\u2019re perfect,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1225\">That settled something.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1243\">Not just in her\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1272\">But in the people watching.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1552\">A quiet ripple moved through the crowd.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1581\">Wade let out a slow breath.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1619\">\u201cYeah,\u201d he admitted. \u201cThat happens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1641\">She tilted her head.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1643\" data-end=\"1649\">\u201cHow?\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1688\">He glanced back at the line of bikes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"1715\">At the people behind data-end=\"1795\">Harper smiled at that.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"1804\">Simple.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1814\">Certain.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1816\" data-end=\"2652\">Harper watched in silence, her hand still holding Wade\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2654\" data-end=\"2713\">Her small world stretching wider with every step they took.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2950\">\u201cNo,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s just what got them started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2952\" data-end=\"2978\">Harper thought about that.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2980\" data-end=\"3013\">Then squeezed his hand once more.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3015\" data-end=\"3044\">\u201cAre you staying?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3046\" data-end=\"3097\">The question data-start=\"3373\" data-end=\"3381\">For her.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3383\" data-end=\"3392\">For them.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3394\" data-end=\"3448\">For something that hadn\u2019t existed before this morning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3450\" data-end=\"3500\">Behind them, engines would start again eventually.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3502\" data-end=\"3519\">Roads would call.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3521\" data-end=\"3566\">Miles would stretch out like they always did.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3568\" data-end=\"3580\">But not yet.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3582\" data-end=\"3592\">Not today.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3594\" data-end=\"3612\">Because sometimes\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3614\" data-end=\"3672\">It isn\u2019t the long roads or loud engines that change a man.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3674\" data-end=\"3695\">It\u2019s a quiet morning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3697\" data-end=\"3721\">A handful of dandelions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3723\" data-end=\"3774\">And a small
